Lakeshore Soil Moisture Probes
This OWL-based data logger is used to monitor soil oxygen in fruit orchards in Michigan. The device amplifies the low level signals from three separate Apogee SO-100 soil oxygen and temperature sensors and then converts that signal to digital and logs it onto a USB flash drive.

Fukushima Rain Gauge Array
This array measures 20 rain gauges as well as wind speed, temperature, and humidity. Contains an OWL data logger that records data onto a flash drive. This project was first used by forest hydrologists who were studying the distribution of rainfall on the forest floor. After the Fukushima meltdown, the equipment has been used to track the movement of caesium-137 through the ecosystem. Click here to see more on the study.
